A one-day meeting to mark the 75 years of scientific and technological development since the discovery of polyethylene by Reginald Gibson and Eric Fawcett on 27 March 1933. A series of presentations on the Discovery, Developments and Challenges of polyethylene together with the unique opportunity to visit the Plastics Exhibition in the Science Museum and see the original equipment used by Gibson and Fawcett in the discovery of polyethylene
