Supporting inclusion and diversity
The ÂÜÀòÉç is proactive in ensuring all our activities to advance the chemical sciences are accessible and inclusive for a diverse community.We initiate new activities and projects that will improve the diversity of our community at all stages of the pipeline and we bring together evidence to inform how to make such improvements.
Attendance
Grants for carers have been introduced following the ÂÜÀòÉç Breaking the barriers report where 78% of chemists working in UK academia felt that managing parenting and/or caring responsibilities has an impact on women’s retention and progression. This fund is not limited to women scientists and welcomes applications from anyone with caring responsibilities, for more information please refer to the ‘bursaries’ section on this page.
