OxWiChem invites you to celebrate the IUPAC 2020 Global Women’s Breakfast. This global event will be held on February 12, 2020, one day after the United Nations Day of Women and Girls in Science. The overall purpose of GWB2020 is to establish an on-going virtual network where women in chemistry can connect with each other in a meaningful way to support their professional aspirations and to develop leadership skills. We aim to bring together researchers at different stages of their careers to share experiences, offer guidance on pursuing a career in chemistry and together explore opportunities in professional development. We hope this event will build the foundations of a valuable network and inspire future leaders in chemistry.
The Oxford Global Women's Breakfast will be hosted in Abbots Kitchen, ICL (9-10am) with a networking breakfast, bringing together women from all sectors in chemistry.
Please contact us at oxwichem@chem.ox.ac.uk if you have any questions and follow us on Twitter for updates at @OxWiChem.
Please register today (this is just a guide to make sure there is enough breakfast!) and we look forward to seeing you all there!
We are kindly sponsored by the RSC to host this event.
This is a free event and is open to everyone – part IIs, DPhils, research fellows, academic staff, technical staff and everyone else in the department who'd like to attend.
