��b@���� Royal Society of Chemistry Mid Southern Counties SectionTwo Visits to Fibercore, Chilworth, SouthamptonWednesday 05 October 2016, starting at 10:00 and 14:00 The Mid Southern Counties local section is organising a visit to Fibercore, Chilworth, Southampton on 05 October 2016. Founded in 1982, Fibercore is a leading innovator, designer and manufacturer of specialty optical fibre serving customers across the world. Products include specialty fiber for the Aerospace, Defence, Oil&Gas and Telecommunications industries  the business is a global market leader. The Company s operations are headquartered in Fibercore House, a custom built Southampton based facility. Fibercore has four Queen s Awards for Enterprise.. More details of the facility can be found on their website http://fibercore.com/ .All section members are welcome to attend although spaces will be limited to 10 people for each visit. Fibercore is at Fibercore House, University Parkway, Southampton Science Park SO16 7QQmpton1 0LW The first visit would start at 10.00 a.m. with a half hour introduction and will last for about two hours. The second visit would start at 14:00 p.m. with the same format. In order to arrange that we have an equal number of members for both visits it would be useful if members could be available for both the morning and the afternoon tour. I would then split the numbers to get equality between morning and afternoon sessions, and inform them accordingly.
