From Fluorine Chemistry to Noncovalent Interactions: Celebrating Prof. Giuseppe Resnati
Submissions open:
Open for submissions now
Deadline:
1 September 2025
Guest Editor(s):
Prof. Antonio Frontera (Universitat de les Illes Balears), Prof. Norio Shibata (Nagoya Institute of Technology), Dr Kamran T. Mahmudov (Baku State University)
This year celebrates the 70th birthday of Prof. Giuseppe Resnati, a distinguished scientist whose pioneering contributions to organic, bio-organic, coordination, materials, and supramolecular chemistry have profoundly shaped these fields. Throughout his illustrious career, he has (co)-authored numerous high-impact publications, with a particular emphasis on fluoroorganic chemistry and the pivotal role of weak interactions. More recently, Prof. Resnati has served as co-chair of IUPAC Task Groups, leading the efforts to establish the official definitions of fundamental noncovalent interactions.
This themed collection will honour Prof. Resnati's outstanding contributions to the discipline, and will feature publications in three journals: NJC, PCCP, and CrystEngComm. We encourage authors to contact the Editorial Office of the relevant journal regarding the suitability of manuscripts to this collection.
