International Symposium on New Tools in Chemical Biology

6 - 7 December 2014, Beijing, China

Introduction
Chemical biology is a scientific discipline spanning the fields of chemistry, biology and physics. It is a new and exciting field, which often involves the application of chemical tools to study and manipulate the biological systems.

This international symposium will bring together leading experts in chemical biology from UK, Germany, USA, Korea, Canada, and China. The symposium is supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and the ÂÜÀòÉç (RSC), and is hosted by the College of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering at Peking University.

Scientific Programme

There will be four sequential sessions during the course of the two days with plenty of opportunities for discussion and interaction. The themes of the four sessions are:

New Tools and Frontier Applications
New Tools for Protein Chemical Biology
New Tools for Carbohydrate Chemical Biology
New Tools for Nucleic Acid Chemical Biology

There will be 16 invited talks and 8-10 flash presentations (5 minutes each) selected from the submitted poster abstracts.

Posters

Students and young research fellows are encouraged to present a poster. 8-10 of the submitted posters will be selected for the 5-min flash talks. In addition, Best Poster Awards will be selected and announced at the end of the symposium.

Please use the 'more information' link below to submit your poster abstract. A template for the poster abstract is also provided on this page. The closing date for poster abstract submission is Friday, 21 November 2014.

Abstracts should be within one A4 page in portrait layout, with the font size not smaller than 10.5.
Posters should be 120 cm in height and 90 cm in width.
