Eighth Scottish Symposium on Environmental Analytical Chemistry

Introduction
This one day symposium is intended as a forum for early-career scientists involved in chemical analysis in environmental studies.

Invited speaker: Dr Margaret Graham, University of Edinburgh. "21st century analysis - out with the old, in with the new?"

Margaret Graham is a Senior Lecturer in Environmental Geochemistry at the University of Edinburgh with over 20 years’ research experience on radionuclide/heavy metal associations with natural organic matter.

This one day symposium is intended as a forum for early-career scientists involved in the development or application of chemical analysis in environmental studies to present their work and meet others in their field. More senior scientists are of course also welcome.

Time and venue
10:00 am – 4:30 pm, Joseph Black Building, University of Glasgow.

Presentation
Those wishing to present should submit an abstract by Friday 20th November 2015 (Word document, 1 side of A4, Arial font, 1.5 spacing). All abstracts submitted will be accepted. Please indicate whether you prefer oral or poster presentation, but note that oral slots are limited and so we may have to make a selection.

Cost
Registration, which includes tea, coffee and lunch, is free for registered students who present their work and also for RSC members. Other delegates will be charged a nominal fee of £15 to help cover costs. Registration deadline: Friday 27th November 2015
