RSC East Midlands Industrial Site Visit - Lubrizol

10 May 2016 10:00-12:30, Derby, United Kingdom

Introduction
Lubrizol Ltd has kindly offered to host a tour of their facilities at The Knowle Nether Lane Hazelwood Derby, Derbyshire DE56 4AN on Tuesday the 10th May 2016, 10:00-12:30pm.

The tour will be hosted by Dr Gary Walker, the Global R&D Technology Manager for Detergents.  The morning will start with a short presentation introducing Lubrizol, product ranges and the history of the Hazelwood site. The tour will last about 2 hours and will encompass the laboratories and other operational area where we will have a chance to meet people who will give an outline of the technical role they perform and the chemistry relating to their area.

The site is on a steep hill and there will be quite a lot of walking up and down inclines and some stairs involved in this tour. We will be walking through operational areas so sturdy shoes that enclose the feet are recommended (no open toes, sandals or stilettoes). Other personal protective equipment will be provided by Lubrizol if required.

Location: Lubrizol Limited, The Knowle, Nether Lane, Hazelwood Derby, Derbyshire DE56 4AN.
Time:  10:00 am (so please arrive a little before).
