This timely seminar will be an opportunity to discuss the new Scottish energy strategy and priorities for the shaping of Scotland’s energy system - focusing on modernisation and key issues for delivery.
 
Sessions assess the future role of renewables - as well as wider low-carbon energies - and oil and gas, considering generation at a local level and opportunities for innovation - taking into account views within the energy sector and the importance of consumer engagement in developing a more modern energy mix.
 
Delegates will also consider the way forward for the decarbonisation of heat and transport, reducing consumption of electricity, heat and energy-intensive transport, and developing a smarter, flexible electricity network
