Pesticides are continuously used in agriculture to kill pests and to increase food production in India and throughout world. Indiscriminate  use of pesticides  is not only to kill the targeted pests, but also has effects on non-target organisms and also impacts on the environment  including water, soil, air, plants  and contamination of the food stuffs such as vegetables, fruits, fish and prawns etc. Human are continuously exposed to pesticides through the food chain and for several years throughout the world. Some pesticides exposure has been linked to diseases such as cancer, as well as neurotoxicity and neurodegenerative disorders.

The conference will bring together experts from India and other countries giving an opportunity not only to scientists from different disciplines, but also other organizations, policy makers and groups involved in  control of pesticides to meet together and discuss future trends and action.
