Public demonstration lecture to commemorate the International Year of the Periodic Table (IYPT)

Introduction
What? Sponsored by the ÂÜÀòÉç this is a special 1 hour demonstration lecture to commemorate the International Year of the Periodic Table (IYPT).

When? Wednesday, June 26th starting at 7:00 pm in the Large Lecture Theatre, Main Chemistry Building, Trinity College Dublin (TCD).

Who? It will be delivered by staff and students from the TCD School of Chemistry and focuses on the chemical elements found in the Human Body detailing their chemical behaviours and how they function.

Why? Carbon, Hydrogen, Oxygen and Nitrogen are known as the building blocks of life and make-up over 96% of your body mass. Calcium, Sulfur and Phosphorus are also present in significant amounts along with trace metals such as Potassium, Magnesium and Sodium .... but what do all these elements do and where are they found on the Periodic Table?
