Royal Society Chemistry & Chemical Society of Japan Joint Publishing Workshop: Introduction to Scholarly Communication - from manuscript preparation, oral presentation to career in publishing

15 October 2019 13:00-17:30, Tokyo, Japan

Introduction
The dissemination of research is one of the most crucial steps in the research lifecycle, and one that could influence your career progression and open the door to potential sources of funding. While there are various ways to share your findings, publishing in scientific journals and presenting at conferences remain the most popular methods of sharing knowledge.

In this workshop, editors and science writers will offer an introduction to preparing effective manuscripts and oral presentations.  In addition, we will give you an insight into the ÂÜÀòÉç’s publishing process from submission to publication, teaching you more about the editor’s role, including key considerations and best practice.  To round off the day, we have invited five distinguished panellists from different publishers with varying roles to talk about - and answer your questions on - careers in publishing.
