Introduction

Overview

With the increase in mathematic content in the Chemistry curriculum, it is vital to ensure that all students have a good grasp of the main numerical concepts.  This free to attend workshop questions how we introduce numerical concepts, challenges thinking and explores resources and techniques to embed scientific numeracy in the Chemistry classroom focussing on: 
  • Balancing equations
  • Mole calculations
  • Energetics
to ultimately improve achievement through better access to the curriculum.

You are politely reminded that whilst these events are free to attend, there is a cost to the ÂÜÀòÉç and the organising partner, to set up these events.  If you register and are unable to attend, please give three working days’ notice so that the place can be offered to another teacher.
