11th Scottish Symposium on Environmental Analytical Chemistry

Introduction
This one-day symposium is intended as a forum for early-career scientists involved in the development or application of chemical analysis in environmental studies to present their work and meet others in their field. More senior scientists are of course also welcome.

From environmental monitoring to environmental forensics – isotopes tell tales
 
Dr Wolfram Meier‐Augenstein, CChem, FRSC is a Professor in Stable Isotope Forensics at the Robert Gordon University (Aberdeen, UK). He is a Fellow of the and a member of the EPSRC's peer review college.  In 2006, he was admitted to the register of expert advisors held by the UK’s National Centre for Policing Excellence, NCPE as then was.  Since 2011, he has been registered as expert advisor with the UK's National Crime Agency (NCA).  Dr Meier-Augenstein has assisted police forces in the UK and abroad in drugs and murder related investigations with provision of forensic intelligence based on Stable Isotope ‘Signatures’.  

Presentation
Those wishing to present should submit an abstract by Monday 13th January 2020 (Template available). Please indicate whether you prefer oral or poster presentation, but note that oral slots are limited and so we may have to make a selection.
 
Cost
Registration, which includes tea, coffee, lunch and refreshments at drinks reception/poster session, is free for registered postgraduate students who present their work and also for RSC members. Other delegates will be charged a nominal fee of £30 to help cover costs. Registration deadline: Friday 31st January 2020.
