Introduction
Dr Wothers is the Director of Studies for Chemistry at Cambridge University and is a Fellow of St Catharine's College, Cambridge. For over a decade, Dr Wothers has been giving his highly popular demonstration lectures at the Cambridge Science Festival and overseas. In 2012 he delivered the Royal Institution Christmas Lectures, a televised series of three lectures entitled "The Modern Alchemist”. Following on from this success, The Cheltenham Ladies' College and the warmly invite you to attend a lecture exploring further ideas around the elements, which will involve a series of explosions and unique experiments allowing you to explore a fascinating subject in a highly entertaining manner. The lecture is aimed at GCSE and A level candidates.
